// mission

100cznia set up in 2017 on the premises of former Gdańsk Shipyard is a project spearheaded by a couple of city activists - Ala Jabłonowska and Kuba Łukaszewski. It runs for five months of the summer season - between May and September, and from this year on, in a slightly reduced form - as 100cznia INSIDE - also in the winter season. The project bringing together shipping container architecture, artistic mishmash and food from around the world turned out a big win spot on, and from day one has been attracting locals and tourists alike with easy-going vibe and robust line-up of events.

During the three years of running, a municipal garden was created around the shipping containers, accessible to everyone, and watered with rainwater collected during rainfall. Most of the materials used in construction of 100cznia - shipping containers, steel, wood - have been recycled.

The team of 100cznia pays great attention to social and ecological issues – all packaging used on site is biodegradable, with introduced systems of returnable and reusable cups and strict recycling schemes.

Our space is provided free of charge to non-governmental organizations and social initiatives dealing with the aspects of ecology, migration or support for the people from the areas of social exclusion. The entire team working with us are legally employed and can work the number of hours of their own choosing only.
